Bordeaux Set

Our ideal trip thought the most important regions of the left and right bank of Bordeaux. This set pairs well with grilled or roasted lamb, beef, veal, venison, steak pie, ox cheek, beef stews, hard british cheeses, cheddar cheese, dishers with gravy or au Jus, roast Duck. Ideal wine serving temperature is 65 F. Cheers!

Chateau Fourcas-Borie Listrac Medoc 

Description: Deep purple in appearance with defined aromas of mocha with black cherry and currant fruit. Juicy on the palate with plum-like texture and dark, ripe fruits underscored by lots of spice.
Flavors: Mocha, black cherry, currant
Grape Variety: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot

Chateau Laplagnotte Bellevue St Emilion 

Description: This blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc is fruit-driven, exhibiting a deep plum and ruby hue with heady aromas of black currant, black cherry, licorice, and graphite. The Chateau Laplagnotte Bellevue Bordeaux shows a medium body with soft, silky tannins, and consumer-friendly appeal.

Chateau Belles Graves Lalande De Pomerol 

Description: Deeper ruby-colored and based on 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Chateau Belles-Graves is an exotic, medium-bodied, balanced effort that has lots of mulberry and red plum fruits as well as spice, orange blossom, and floral nuances.
Flavors: Exotic, mulberry, spice

Chateau Peymartin St Julien 

Description: Deep ruby-garnet in appearance, Peymartin is classic left-bank Bordeaux. Aromas of dried tobaco, cedar, blackcurrant, and pungent cooking spices greet the nose. The palate is extremely elegant with ripe, yet structured tannins balanced by firm acidity, black fruits, savory earth, and hints of toasted vanilla.
Flavors: Vanilla, tabaco, cedar
Grape Variety: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot

Segla Rauzan Segla Margaux 

Description: Extremely aromatic with dried flowers, perfumed and sandalwood and blackcurrants. Full body, ultra-fine tannins, a gorgeous core of ripe fruit and blackcurrants and blueberries. Racy and very long. So impressive. This needs four or five years to come around but already so fine.
Flavors: Blackcurrants, blueberries, floral
Grape Variety: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc

Chateau Batailley Pauillac 

Description: Bold and fruity, this is a black-currant-flavored wine with soft tannins. In this vintage, the crisp acidity has also kicked in to give the wine its lift and to balance the ripe flavors.
Flavors: Spice, cedar, vanilla
Grape Variety: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot
