Graham Beck Brut N/V (Non-Vintage), South Africa
The Graham Beck wines are classic in style and a good value, reliable alternative to Champagne. Here we have bready aromas allied to some New World fruitiness, and although the complexity of good Champagne is lacking, it's a very well-made traditional method wine.

La Follette Los Primeros Chardonnay 2017, California
The grapes for this wine come 83% from Sonoma County, the remainder mostly from Monterey, with just 2% from Mendocino. It's made in a quenching style of succulent acidity and nuanced flavors of fig, quince and Meyer lemon, the backbone nicely rich in graham cracker.

Martin Ray Sauvignon Blanc, California
The 2018 Martin Ray Vineyards & Winery Sauvignon Blanc is a nifty wine. TASTING NOTES: This wine is crisp and refreshing. Its bright aromas and flavors of citrus and light chalk should pair it well with Ahi tuna sashimi wrapped in nori.

Allan Scott Pinot Noir 2018, New Zealand
This wine is showing a fair bit of rubbery sweaty reduction on the nose. It does blow off partially with time in glass, revealing plush, almost raisiny red-berry fruit, florals, and a sweet oak spice. It's a big step up on the medium-bodied palate, though, where the fruit is surprisingly bright and juicy, woven with fine raspy sappy tannins and a spicy, slightly woody finish.

Villa Ramsay Merlot 2018, California
The 2016 Ramsay Merlot is a great example of what Merlot can, and should, be. It is a rich, dark wine full of fruit, yet structured with nice astringency and a truly stunning mouthfeel. It is made from grapes from several vineyards in California's North Coast that really worked together to create the depth and nuance that the winemaker was looking for in making this wine.

The Originals Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Washington
Quiet green pepper, sugared plum, red apple and cherry notes lead to soft, sweet, dark fruit flavors that display a light styling. It's a pleasant, easy-drinking example of the variety.
